Own the finance function across two sister venues. You are the finance function, not one seat in a large team — and your analysis will drive real operating decisions.

About Sol

Sol is starting a new chapter this year — a new home, a refreshed brand and a growing team — while staying focused on what has always mattered most to us: great food, made with high-quality ingredients.

Based in Tây Hồ, Sol is a modern American-Italian restaurant with pizza at its heart, paired with a carefully selected wine list and a warm, relaxed atmosphere.

As we prepare to open the new space, we are looking for people who care about good food, genuine hospitality, and doing things well.

The role in short

You will run dual-outlet accounting end to end — cost control across restaurant and bakery COGS, daily revenue reconciliation, payroll, tax and audit. You report directly to the General Director.

  • Own the close. Consolidated and outlet-level P&L by working day 5, every month.
  • Front the tax authority and liaise with our external audit agency through to sign-off.
  • Control the costs. Separate COGS for restaurant and bakery, weekly stock counts, and the supplier payment run on the 20th.
  • Run payroll from punch-clock data, including service charge and tip pool calculation across both venues.

If you want to study, we fund up to 3 ACCA papers a year after 12 months — entirely optional. The path from here is Finance Manager.

What you will own

1. Cost accounting & inventory control

  • Track and analyse F&B COGS separately for Sol (savoury, beverage, kitchen) and ASU House Bakery (baking, pastry, dairy).
  • Monitor and audit inter-venue stock transfers and shared inventory.
  • Run weekly and monthly stock counts with venue managers; track shrinkage, waste and recipe yield variance.
  • Manage accounts payable and run the supplier payment cycle on the 20th of each month.

2. Daily revenue audit & cash management

  • Cross-audit daily POS reports against bank deposits, cash floats, card settlements and e-wallets (MoMo, VNPay, ZaloPay, ShopeePay) for both venues.
  • Reconcile cashier deposits, petty cash and daily safe drops.
  • Audit voids, comps, staff discounts and promotional redemptions against manager approval logs.

3. Tax, audit & compliance

  • Act as our primary point of contact with the tax authority, handling correspondence, queries, inspections and submissions.
  • Liaise with our external audit agency — prepare schedules and documentation, answer queries, and manage the engagement to sign-off.
  • Issue and manage VAT e-invoices for both entities, and file monthly and quarterly returns (VAT, PIT, CIT, and Foreign Contractor Tax where applicable).
  • Maintain the general ledger under Vietnam Accounting Standards in MISA, manage fixed assets and depreciation, and complete year-end tax finalisation.

4. Payroll & service charge

  • Consolidate monthly timesheets from punch-clock records and process payroll for both venues. The General Director audits the final figures.
  • Calculate and distribute the service charge and tip pools for floor, kitchen and bakery staff.
  • Process social insurance declarations (BHXH, BHYT, BHTN) and PIT withholdings.
  • Maintain labour contract records and statutory HR filings.

5. Reporting & analysis

  • Close the month and deliver consolidated and outlet-level P&L reports by working day 5.
  • Track prime cost and flag variance to the General Director with an explanation, not just a number.
  • Support annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting and capex planning.

Your first 90 days

  • Days 1–30. Learn both entities’ books and the current close process. Take over the daily revenue audit and the 20th-of-month payment run.
  • Days 31–60. Own a full month-end close and deliver the consolidated P&L by working day 5, unaided.
  • Days 61–90. Deliver the first improvement to the close process or cost controls, and file a clean tax return cycle.

How performance is measured

  • Month-end close delivered by working day 5
  • Supplier payment run completed on the 20th
  • Zero late or amended statutory filings
  • Stock count variance within tolerance
  • Payroll accuracy and on-time payment

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 2+ years in accounting within F&B, hospitality, retail or bakery in Vietnam. Multi-unit experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in MISA accounting software; hands-on with F&B POS systems.
  • Advanced Excel — VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic financial modelling.
  • Direct experience dealing with the tax authority and with external auditors.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Vietnamese tax law, VAS, e-invoicing and labour and insurance rules.
  • Vietnamese fluency and professional working English.
  • High ethical standards, meticulous accuracy, and the judgement to prioritise across two active venues.

Pay & benefits

Pay

  • Base salary: 20,000,000 VND gross per month.
  • 13-month bonus according to company KPIs.
  • Annual salary review based on performance.
  • Probation: 60 days at 85% of base salary.

Benefits

  • Full employer contribution to compulsory Social, Health and Unemployment Insurance (BHXH, BHYT, BHTN) from the start of your labour contract.
  • 12 days paid annual leave a year, plus 1 additional day per 3 years of service, subject to company policy.
  • 11 paid public holidays a year including Tết. Holiday work is paid at statutory premium rates.
  • Overtime paid in accordance with Vietnamese labour law and company policy.
  • A staff meal cooked by our kitchen before dinner service.
  • Staff dining discount across Sol and ASU House Bakery.
  • Optional ACCA sponsorship: if you want to study, after 12 months Sol will fund up to 3 ACCA papers a year, subject to meeting your role KPIs. Sponsorship carries a 2-year service commitment from the date each set of papers is funded, or repayment in full.

Where this leads

Restaurant Accountant → Finance Manager. As the group grows and adds venues, this role is the foundation of the finance function. The person who builds the controls, owns the close and earns ownership’s trust on the numbers is the person we will promote.
